Parida Bharat Bhushan hails from Puri district in Orissa has been trained in Coir toys and Modern Applique. He is committed in achieving perfection in Applique and has great skill in recreating tribal paintings of Orissa.

He is  the first craftperson in Modern Applique and has evolved a number of new designs based on mythological and ethnic  subjects  which has created a new tradition in the craft of Applique. He has received a Merit Certificate from Govt. of Orissa for excellence in Applique work in 1999. He has participated in a number of exhibitions in India.
