Wooden Comb | Handmade Crafts directly from Craftsmen There is a special technique used in carving traditional wooden combs. A two-way comb has a handle in the centre with a hollow channel. This channel is to be filled with hair oil. Then a stopper is fixed on the top, after filling with oil. While using the oil-filled comb, the hair is coated evenly with the oil flowing from the comb. Similarly, another comb filled with hair-dye in the hollow of the channel in the centre of the comb can be used for dyeing the hair.The teeth are carefully hand carved to achieve uniformity of space and fineness.
