Aranya is a welfare project of Tata Tea Limited, manned by physically challenged youth of the local population in Kerala with a dual aim to rehabilitate them and to revive this ancient art of natural dyeing. Aranya was awarded the FICCI Award for training and placement of persons with disabilities for the year 1997-98. Aranya does successful experimentation with the vegetation around by exploiting only vegetal waste, which in no way disturbs the floral wealth.
