Paramparik Karigar has announced a competition as a follow up of its training program Manthan . All particpants have been invited to send in one or more items that the karigars have conceptualized during the workshop or after .

  1. Entires may be one or more

  2. These may be made in the groups that they  were divided in or individually

  3. The item sent by them  must not have ever  been made before

  4. In the alternative if  the item sent by them  is fairly  similar to their  previous wares or textiles but with a difference ( the difference must be stated It should as far as possible incorporate at lease one element of what you learnt at the workshop .- It could be colour or style  or theme

 There will be three prizes :

A panel of judges consisting of Mr Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Mrs Pavitra Rajaram, Mrs Meera Mehta,Mrs Neeta Usgaonkar have been iinvited to judge the wares The  pieces  selected and approved will be  then produced as a limited edition and sold at the exhibition in september

Art & Craft workshops

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (formely Prince of Wales Museum of Western India) in collaboration with Paramparik Karigar invites you to participate in Art & Craft workshops conducted by master craftsmen

Gateway To India

ABC Stores -New York has orgainsed a 4-week authentic exposure of the best of India's culture, beauty, hospitality, traditions, home furnishings and traditional handicrafts for the city of New York and also to a wider public gathering. 9 craftsmen representing Paramparik Karigar will participate in the event demonstrating their crafts and specialties. 25 unique Indian crafts will be showcased in the 4-week long exhibition.

Gala at Pierre- Former President Bill Clinton will be present on February 15, to appreciate the artistry of the craftsmen.
