Environment- Artists performed in Mumbai from 'The Kahurangi New Zealand Maori Dance
Theatre' at Panchgani.
12 - 17 September - Paramparik Karigar
craftsmen held an Exhibition at the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, 'Art Complex',
Kumarakrupa Road, Bangalore, sponsored by Infosys Foundation.

07 - 24 August - 11 Craftsmen of
Paramparik-Karigar participated in Parikrama Festival at Shopper's Stop in Mumbai.
01 May - 15 June - Craft Demonstration
and Workshops were held by Paramparik Karigar Craftsmen at Birla Academy of Art and
Culture- Mumbai.
02 April - Fundraising Event at Taj. A
craft auction of especially created work by master craftsmen of Paramparik Karigar was
held at the Taj Mahal Hotel followed by a celebration banquet. The House of Bowrings,
Auctioneers, conducted the auction, which was hosted by writer/poet Javed Akhtar.
03 April - Celebrated Kamaladevi
Chattopadhyay Birth Centenary at Nehru Centre, Mumbai. The Speakers were M.V. Kamath and
Reena Nanda. 'The Life of Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay' Biography of Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay,
written by Reena Nanda was launched by Bakul Patel.
03 - 12 April - Paramparik Karigar
classical craftsmen who had exhibited at NGMA, exhibited their work on sale at the Birla
Academy of Art & Culture, Mumbai.
27 February - 02 March - 'Alamkara'
Surabhi's Folk Art and Film Festival.-30 of Paramparik Karigar craftsmen participated in
this programme at Films Division Grounds, Deshmukh Marg, Mumbai. As part of this programme
there was a seminar on 'Securing the future of crafts' in which 3 craftsmen participated,
along with 3 other speakers from government/ industry.
02-25 January - Exhibition was held at the National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai.
It was , sponsored by the Aditya Birla Group and NGMA,
and was inaugurated by Mrs Rajashree Birla.
06-11 January - A Textile Exhibition was held by Paramparik Karigar craftsmen at the
DBS Galleria, DBS House, Prescott Road, Opp. Cathedral High School, Fort, Mumbai.
03-04 January - Craft Demonstration and Workshops were held by Paramparik Karigar craftsmen for the handicapped and under-privileged children at the Nehru
Centre.
